2012 trailer!:

Steven Spielberg develops Pirate Latitudes:
Steven Spielberg maakt plannen om het boek van Michael Crichton Pirate Latitudes te verfilmen. De avonturenfilm vindt plaats in Jamaica in 1665 en wordt omschreven als "a daring plan to infiltrate Port Royal, one of the world's richest and most notorious cities, and raid a Spanish galleon filled with treasure."
David Koepp, die het script verzorgde van Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park en The Lost World, schrijft ook het script van deze film. "This is a reunion movie that taps into all three of them, and their love of high adventure. Just like old times," vertelde DreamWorks' Stacey Snider.
Vorige films gebaseerd op de boeken van Michael Crichton zijn Congo, Rising Sun, Sphere, Disclosure en Timeline.

 Ericson Core (Invincible) wordt de regisseur van XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, het derde deel uit de serie waarin Vin Diesel terug is voor de hoofdrol. Ericson Core was eerder werkzaam als director of photography van o.a. Diesel's The Fast and the Furious. Source: The Hollywood Reporter

Reggy's Inglourious Basterds Review!:

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) is benaderd om de verfilming van de videogame BioShock te regisseren. De regisseur vervangt Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean) die nog wel als producer zal optreden. Source: Variety
