Newsflash:
 Jackie Chan is benaderd voor de rol van Mr. Miyagi in The Karate Kid remake. Jaden Smith, son of Will, vertolkt de hoofdrol en Harald Zwart verzorgt de regie. Voor de duidelijkheid, ik ben een grote Jackie Chan fan, maar ik kijk niet uit naar deze remake!
Producers Michael Cerenzie en Christine Peters maken plannen voor een Steve McQueen biopic. Ze hebben de rechten gekocht van Marshall Terrill's biografie Steve McQueen: Portrait of an American Rebel.

Newsflash:
Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow) is van plan om de actie-komedie Mother Trucker te gaan regisseren. Het verhaal dat gebaseerd is op een artikel uit Maxim magazine, gaat over een man die uit de gevangenis ontsnapt en een vrachtwagen steelt om zijn zieke moeder te kunnen bezoeken. The cool part is dat de film in de stijl van Smokey and the Bandit wordt gefilmd! Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Een nieuwe behind-the-scenes pic van James Cameron's Avatar is online! De cast van de 3-D sci-fi flick, zijn eerste non-documentary sinds Titanic, bestaat uit Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez en Giovanni Ribisi. U.S. Box Office Jan 09-11:
Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino kwam met de wide release binnen op de eerste plaats en verdiende daarbij 29 miljoen dollars! Nieuwkomers Bride Wars en The Unborn vochten om de tweede plaats, uiteindelijk wist the Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson comedy David Goyer's thriller te verslaan met een paar dollars verschil.

"Okay it's time to turn up the heat on Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen. We've waited low in the weeds letting all the summer movies get their stuff out. We've seen the great year end movies, and watched the upcoming clips of the upcoming summer fare. We've seen certain movies coming out even try to duplicate Transformer size robots in their ads. Please, come on.
Well, I promise you we will rock your world with Transformers 2. The fans wanted ROBOTS KICKING ASS - well we got it. Today we are releasing the teaser poster and soon the onslaught will continue with a steady drum beat until June 26th."
