Hi guys, weer de laatste update van de week. Volgende update, met hopelijk meer nieuws, is dit weekend!;
 Tobey Maguire en Neal Moritz produceren de verfilming van de comic Afterburn. Het verhaal speelt zich af nadat de atmosfeer is vernietigd door een gigantische zonnevlam. Een groep treasure hunters wordt ingehuurd om kostbare objecten terug te vinden. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
A bunch of very cool Iron Man pics zijn op internet verschenen! De superheldenfilm wordt geregisseerd door Jon Favreau, de cast bestaat uit Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow en Jeff Bridges. Klik hier voor de pics.
Writer Michael Dougherty gaat samenwerken met Robert Zemeckis aan Calling All Robots. De animatiefilm gebruikt dezelfde techniek als in Zemeckis' Beowulf en combineert het met de stijl van de oude Godzilla movies. Source: Variety
James Cromwell en Ellen Burstyn zijn gecast in Oliver Stone's George W. Bush biopic W. Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men) speelt de titelrol en Elizabeth Banks is the first lady. Source: Variety

Newsflash:
Jeanne Tripplehorn, Sigourney Weaver en J.K. Simmons vergezellen Tim Allen in de komedie Crazy on the Outside. Allen speelt een ex-gedetineerde die een date probeert te regelen met zijn parole officer. De rest van de cast bestaat uit Ray Liotta, Kelsey Grammer en Julie Bowen. Tim Allen maakt met de film zijn regiedebuut. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
De trailer van de Eddie Murphy komedie, Meet Dave, is hier online. I don't know about you, but this movie doesn't look very promising.

Cohen's Mummy update:
Regisseur Rob Cohen heeft een update van The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor op zijn blog geplaatst. De regisseur is druk met post-production, werd ondertussen vader van drie kids en zoekt daarnaast de golven op voor een potje surfen! Here's a clip;
"There's more good news on "The Mummy" front: I have shown the film to the exec's at Universal and they are through-the-roof ecstatic. We screened a few weeks ago for all the relevant department heads (home video, distribution, foreign, p.r., marketing, etc.) and the reaction was unanimous. It's running around 1 hr. 53 minutes and, daily as we hone, it's taking its final shape. The studio has been very collaborative and supportive. You know they love it when they ask you if you need any more money to enhance the visual effects budget!!! Are there more shots that I want to do but didn't have the money to do?!!! Of course, the answer is yes; there is never enough to entertain the audience in any film."
