Newsflash:
Hi guys, een snelle newsflash vandaag, I'll be back with a new update this weekend!;
 Max Von Sydow en Pete Postlethwaite spelen tegenover James Purefoy in Solomon Kane. De film wordt het eerste deel van een trilogie over een soldaat uit de 16de eeuw die het koninkrijk moet beschermen tegen duistere krachten. De film is gebaseerd op de boeken van Robert E. Howard, de man die ook Conan the Barbarian introduceerde. Michael J. Bassett (yep, don't know him either) regisseert.
Scarlett Johansson speelt de hoofdrol in de biopic Mary Queen of Scots dat het verhaal vertelt van de koningin van Schotland in 1542. Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger) regisseert!
Amy Ryan en Greg Kinnear vechten samen met Matt Damon in de untitled Iraq war thriller dat gebaseerd is op het boek Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq's Green Zone. De zone wordt gebruikt als verblijfplaats van de Amerikaanse troepen. The Bourne Ultimatum's Paul Greengrass regisseert.

Michael Chiklis (Fantastic Four) vergezelt Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thornton en Rosario Dawson in Eagle Eye! De thriller van D.J. Caruso vertelt het verhaal van een nietsnut (LaBeouf) en een single mom (Monaghan) die worden verdacht van terrorisme. Chikles speelt de rol van U.S. secretary of defense. Hitman's Olga Kurylenko is de nieuwe Bond-girl! Daniel Craig is terug als de Britse spion, Marc Forster (Finding Neverland) regisseert. Olga Kurylenko speelde ook tegenover Elijah Wood in Paris, je t'aime. I really hated Hitman maar vond Olga's performance in de film heel goed. Click on the lovely actress for more info.

Golden Globes canceled!!!:
Wow, door de writer's strike wordt de Golden Globes ceremony een korte persconferentie van een uurtje! Here's the official press release;
"We are all very disappointed that our traditional awards ceremony will not take place this year and that millions of viewers worldwide will be deprived of seeing many of their favorite stars celebrating 2007's outstanding achievements in motion pictures and television," said Jorge Camara, President of The Hollywood Foreign Press Association. "We take some comfort, however, in knowing that this year's Golden Globe Award recipients will be announced on the date originally scheduled."
Reden voor dit besluit is de actie van acteurs die de schrijvers steunen en aankondigden niet aanwezig te zijn bij de Golden Globes.

Newsflash:
Marlon Wayans speelt de rol van Ripcord, leider van een military unit, in de live-action G.I. Joe film. The Mummy's Stephen Sommers is verantwoordelijk voor de regie, de rest van de cast bestaat uit Rachel Nichols, Sienna Miller, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje en Said Taghmaoui. Source: Variety
Producer Barrie Osborne onthult dat Weta Workshop de kleding ontwerpt voor Justice League! De avonturenfilm wordt geregisseerd door George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet) en vertelt het verhaal van een superheldenteam bestaande uit Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman en The Flash. "George Miller has a great take on the material, so it elevates it to something that's not a comic-book movie," vertelde Osborne. Source: Stuff

James Middleton talks Terminator Salvation:
Producer James Middleton komt met story details van Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, inmiddels de vierde film uit de reeks dat geregisseerd wordt door McG (Charlie's Angels);
"It's set after the events of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, where we see the nuclear exchange at the end of the movie, and we show what the world is like after this event, and we show how people try to deal in a post-apocalyptic world. And we introduce a new character, who becomes very important to the resistance and to John Connor, a new hero. It's really about the birth of a new hero.
I would look at him as a character that is introduced and that will grow in the second and third movies of the trilogy."
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins zal helaas zonder Schwarzenegger gemaakt worden, Christian Bale is wel gecast maar het wordt nog geheim gehouden welke rol hij gaat spelen.

Is Brandon Routh in or out?!:
Diverse geruchten over de Superman sequel bereikten het web de afgelopen dagen. Bronnen vermelden dat Bryan Singer niet van plan is om het vervolg te regisseren en dat Brandon Routh wordt vervangen door een jongere Superman. Het nieuws wordt veroorzaakt door de Justice League film met America's finest superheroes; Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. De acteur die JLA's Superman vertolkt, is dan ook te zien in de stand-alone versie. Ik ben een grote liefhebber van Bryan Singer's Superman Returns en Brandon Routh was geweldig als The Man of Steel. Gelukkig zorgt AICN voor een klein lichtpuntje, volgens hun betrouwbare WB spionnen zijn de geruchten onjuist, check this out;
"Right now, Routh is still Warner's choice to return if they make another stand-alone SUPERMAN film, and that's based on conversations as recently as a few weeks ago.
Don't believe this one, kids. Routh's still the Man of Steel."

Finally, de HD versie van de Hellboy II: The Golden Army trailer is nu online! Guillermo del Toro verzorgt wederom de regie, cast bestaat uit Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Luke Goss, Thomas Kretschmann en Doug Jones.
