Newsflash:
The official site for Will Eisner's The Spirit has been updated with lots of cool stuff, including a video introduction by director Frank Miller! The comic adaptation stars Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, Sarah Paulson, Paz Vega and Jamie King. Frank Miller is a veteran comic artist and writer and made his directing debut (with Robert Rodriguez) on Sin City. Click here to enter!
Very interesting clip for Valkyrie is up! The WWII film is directed by Bryan Singer (Superman Returns) and stars Tom Cruise, Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Patrick Wilson, Stephen Fry, Tom Wilkinson and Carice van Houten. You really want to see this flick after checking out the behind the scenes clip. Click here to download.

Producer Mark Headley, actor Christopher Mitchum and business partner Toni Covington have acquired remake rights to the 1952 classic western High Noon. Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly starred in the original, one of the best westerns ever, well, according to my dad,... but I'm kinda curious what they're planning to do with the remake. The very first pics of the Pacino and De Niro vehicle Righteous Kill are online!!! The actors play a pair of cops on the trail of a serial killer. Jon Avnet directs and if you've seen 88 minutes, you'll understand my concerns about Righteous Kill. Anyway, click on the pic for more!

Newsflash:
Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel will star in the political satire Nailed, to be directed by David O. Russell (Three Kings, love this flick, by the way). Biel plays a small-town receptionist who suffers from wild sexual urges after a freak accident. She goes on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the bizarrely injured. A congressman, played by Gyllenhaal, takes advantage of her sex drive. Well, you already got me at 'wild sexual urges'. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Jennifer Connolly joins Keanu Reeves in the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. Scott Derrickson directs the flick about a bunch of aliens on Earth delivering a very simple message: live in peace or be destroyed. Source: Variety
Denzel Washington is back on the director's chair, and also in front of the camera (how do they do that?) in the drama The Great Debaters. The film is produced by Oprah and also stars Academy Award winning Forest Whitaker. Click here for the interesting trailer!

Reggy's The Assassination of Jesse James Review!:
It's been a while, guys, but I'm back with a movie review! I've been kinda busy, and than had to take some time off to slow down the pace a bit. But with the upcoming winter movie season, I'll try my best
to deliver my movie reviews on a regular basis! I believe the following movie has been released overseas in limited theaters. Here in Holland, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, will be unleashed this week. It's a western with the longest title ever, that's for sure, but is it also one of the best westerns ever made? Well, click
on the pic for Reggy's The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford review!

Writers go on strike!!!:
The strike begins! Members of The Writers Guild of America will go on strike Monday against studios and networks. Negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers hit a brick wall. The strike will have a major impact on current film and TV productions, including CSI, Heroes and 24. There's a chance that the strike will cause ripple effects within the Directors Guild and the Screen Actors Guild, they'll negotiate their contracts within a few months. Hope the writers will eventually get what they want (and deserve).
