Newsflash:
New Line Cinema will not cough up the money for the giant shark flick, MEG, revealed Steve Alten, author of the novels. But the writer also announced that the "movie WILL HAPPEN and it is better to wait and do it right with the right team than accept mediocrity." He's got a piont, so lets just wait and see. By the way, fellow dutchman Jan De Bont (Speed) was attached to direct but I don't think he's still involved. Source: Moviehole
Writer Zak Penn joins The Dirty Dozen, well, to work on the script for the remake. Zak Penn previously wrote X-Men: The Last Stand and Fantastic Four. The remake of the WWII flick, Lee Marvin stars in the the original version, will be produced by Joel Silver. Source: Variety
Michael Bay talked to Entertainment Weekly about a Transformers sequel; "Let's see how this one does. I've got a lot of ideas for the next one. There's a lot of really cool, big robot stuff that I had in my head that we didn't do. I just want to see how this works. You might not grow as much as a director to do a sequel. But it's kind of like you have your baby and you don't want someone else to take it." Just checked out the latest Box Office results, I'm pretty sure the sequel will happen!
Wonderful trailer for Resurrecting the Champ is now online! The film about a former boxing champ stars Josh Hartnett and Samuel L. Jackson. Check out a fine performance by Jackson right here!
