Newsflash:
Hi guys, the last update of the week but I'll be back with more movie news this weekend!
 New Line and HBO will produce a big screen Sex and the City movie! Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are all set to reprise their roles, Michael Patrick King will direct. Shooting takes place this fall. Source: Variety
Transformers earned $27.4 million on its first full day of release, setting a new Tuesday record. The movie's total gross is $36.2 million, including the monday previews. This movie will probably break more records over the weekend, I'll keep ya posted!

The Rat beat McClane and entered the top spot with 47 million bucks! What.... okay, John, put down the gun, a second spot for the new Die Hard flick and 33 million isn't bad either! Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Newsflash:
Cameron Diaz will star in the horror flick The Box. The film revolves around a young woman who is given a mysterious box. Certain things will happen depending on which buttons she presses. I'd like to press her buttons sometime... anyway, the interesting bit about this news is that Donnie Darko's Richard Kelly will direct. Source: Variety
