Newsflash:
Hi guys, the last update of the slow newsweek, but I'll be back this weekend, hopefully with more exiting news!;
Thanks to the success of 300, Millennium Films is now developing a live-action Hercules flick. The script is written but there's no word on a director or cast. I rather see Conan back on screen, swinging his bloody sword.
Diane English will write and direct the remake of The Women. The film centers on a group of female friends, one of them discovers that her husband is cheating on her. Cast includes Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Jada Pinkett Smith, Debra Messing and Candice Bergen.
Zooey Deschanel stars opposite Mark Wahlberg in M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening. The film revolves around a family on the run from a big disaster which threatens the existence of mankind.

Harry Potter Theme Park!:
Great news for the Potter fans, Warner Bros and Universal Orlando Resort are partnering to create a giant Harry Potter themed environment, entitled The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. "Over the years we've received thousands of letters from fans around the world wishing they could visit Hogwarts and the wonderful locations described in each of J.K. Rowling's beloved stories," Warner Bros' chairman Barry Meyer said, "Working with Universal Orlando Resort, we are confident that we'll be able to provide Harry Potter fans with an incredible experience that upholds the richness of J.K. Rowling's books and delivers on the authentic detail portrayed in our films."
The park will enable guests to visit the locations found in the books and the films, including the village of Hogsmeade, the mysterious Forbidden Forest and Hogwarts castle itself (yeah, I copied and pasted the names... cause I'm not that familiar with the Potter world). Here's the cool part, production designer Stuart Craig, who worked on the movies, will lead the creative design for the park so it remains faithful to the look and feel of the films. The park will open in 2009, here's some pretty sweet artwork!

The Dark Knight goes IMAX:
Christopher Nolan, director of the upcoming Batman Begins sequel, will shoot four action scenes for The Dark Knight in IMAX format. One of them will include the introduction of the Joker.
"You can't do this on any home theater," Nolan said, "Batman has some of the most extraordinary characters in pop culture. We wanted the Joker to have the grandest entrance possible." Click here for more and a cool production still.
