Monster's Ball stars Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton will reunite for Tulia. The story centers on a lawyer who exposes corrupt and racially motivated drug convictions in Tulia. Carl Franklin (High Crimes) will direct. Source: Variety

Bryan Singer's next won't be Superman?:
Bryan Singer plans to direct a new untitled project, according to Variety, that he will write with Usual Suspects' co-writer Chris McQuarrie. The multi-character ensemble piece is set in WWII and will be financed by Paula Wagner and Tom Cruise. Sounds cool? Well, it isn't! Why? Cause it will delay the new Superman flick!!!
But... according to the Superman Homepage it will not affect the Superman Returns follow up; "...this claim is false, with Warner Bros. and Bryan Singer reportedly on track to start filming the sequel to Superman Returns around March of 2008 as previously planned."

I'm still a bit confused, but I'll keep you posted. For those who feel the same way, I've got some other cool Superman news to cheer you up. Brandon Routh talked a bit to Empire online about the sequel. He indicates that Zod isn't going to be the new villain, check this out;
"I don't know how much we want to reprise characters that have appeared in the series before, since we've reset and used the first film to pay homage to all that's come before. Now I think Bryan (Singer) might want to go somewhere new with it, which I think will be exciting.
It's going to be a lot more in that genre. In the first one, the obstacle was Superman's love for Lois and his son, and Luthor using that against him. I just know that in the next film there will be a lot of action and I'm gonna get to fight something, or someone. An enemy with real physical power might be worked in there, definitely."

Reggy's 300 Review!:
It's been a long time since I've written a review, guys, but I've been pretty busy. I'm still watching a lot of movies though, but writing reviews just take time, which I didn't have. The other problem is that the release dates here in Holland not always match the ones at the other side of the ocean. Anyway, I'll do my best to post my reviews as soon as possible again, and today I was invited for the Dutch press screening of your #1 flick, 300! I'm a big fan of Frank Miller, really enjoyed Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake, so 300 is one of those films that just had to work... right? Well, click on the pic for Reggy's 300 Review!

This woman was pretty impressive in the flick... great dancer...!

Shia LaBeouf talks Transformers:
Shia LaBeouf, star of Michael Bay's Transformers, revealed that executive producer Steven Spielberg went mano-a-mano with the MPAA who decided that the film would be rated R. Shia LaBeouf explained why; "Spielberg fought back and got the PG-13. It's just because of the intensity. There are not a lot of breathers. It's like whoosh! We went to get our MPAA rating, and this movie is for the masses, and we got an R rating because of the tension. Not because of the curse words or nudity, but for sheer intensity. It's aneurysm-inducing. No one has ever seen animation like this. The people at ILM said this is the most intense graphics in the history of the company. Everyone says they did some pretty magical and wild things. Just Megatron's arm has 15,000 moving pieces that all converge like a Rubik's Cube. And add to that Michael Bay's chase scenes? And then you have two 40-foot machines on the 405 freeway boxing. It's nuts! It's never been done like that. It will be fun to see what happens."
Very cool! Can't wait to check out the battle of the giant robots. I'll bet that Michael Bay will kick your ass this summer.

Newsflash:
Hi guys, I've got a big newsflash today to start off the weekend. Stay tuned for a Poster Archive update within a few days!
The MovieXplosion.com Poster Section has been updated with excellent new posters, including Die Hard 4.0 and Fanstastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer! Click here to enter!
The Changeling will be put on a fast track with Clint Eastwood on the director's chair and Angelina Jolie in a leading role, well, who's still in talks though. Jolie would play a woman who'se facing corruption in the LAPD when her son is abducted, but later retrieved. She suspects, however, that the returned child is not her kid. Source: Variety
Maggie Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko) is in final talks to replace Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight. The rest of the cast includes Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Aaron Eckhart. Source: Variety
Corpse Bride and Big Fish writer John August, has been hired to cough up the script for Shazam! Based on the classic comic, the story revolves around teenager Billy Batson who becomes the superhero Captain Marvel when he says the magic word 'Shazam!'. "It's a unique opportunity to do a comic book movie where the character in it actually read comic books," said August, "What's terrific about the character is that he looks like this superstudly superhero but is really a 13-year-old boy. And to approach everything that is great about a superhero movie from a 13-year-old boy's perspective was a unique way in." Peter Segal (50 First Dates, The Longest Yard) will direct. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
The Hughes Bros (From Hell) will direct a film about the life of Mafia hitman Richard "Ice Man" Kuklinski. Kuklinski became a contract killer for the Gambino family, whilst keeping his job a secret from his wife and three children. Always love a cool Mafia flick (especially when it's based on true events), looking forward to it! Source: Variety
Trekkie alert!; Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci talked to MTV about the upcoming film, which will be directed by J.J. Abrams; "There will be more action in this movie than any Trek that's preceded it. We're not going to start totally from scratch. We want it to feel like it's updated and of the now. That's actually the discussions we're having now: how to keep the look of the universe yet have it not look like nothing's new. It's tricky."
300 will open this weekend in the U.S. theaters (I'll try to write my review asap)! Director Zack Snyder's next flick will be the adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' graphic novel Watchmen. Zack delivered a little treat for the fans, cause he pasted a quick shot of Watchmen's Rorschach in the internet trailer of 300! How cool is that! Well, I've got that shot for you, guys, right below!
