Newsflash:
From the creators of The 40 Year Old Virgin, comes the new comedy Knocked Up! The film stars Katherine Heigl, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd. Check out the very nice trailer right here!
A disaster flick from Roman Polanski? Oh yeah! The director has signed on to adapt Robert Harris' novel Pompeii. The story centers on the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 79 through the eyes of a young engineer, Marcus Attilius, who is sent to repair the greatest aqueduct in the Roman Empire. Principal photography will start in Italy in the summer of 2007.
Dan Aykroyd reveals that Ghostbusters III is in the works! Aykroyd said that the film will be CGI and Bill Murray has agreed to do the voice of Dr. Peter Venkman. Sounds cool, but it's still too early to tell this is really going to happen, guys. Source: CISNFM

Joss Whedon turns his back on Wonder Woman?:
Serenity director Joss Whedon has been working on a Wonder Woman script for a long time, which he was also going to direct. But Joss posted a message on his website that he's no longer attached to Wonder Woman;
"Let me stress first that everybody at the studio and Silver Pictures were cool and professional. We just saw different movies, and at the price range this kind of movie hangs in, that's never gonna work. Non-sympatico. It happens all the time. I don't think any of us expected it to this time, but it did. Everybody knows how long I was taking, what a struggle that script was, and though I felt good about what I was coming up with, it was never gonna be a simple slam-dunk. I like to think it rolled around the rim a little bit, but others may have differing views.
The worst thing that can happen in this scenario is that the studio just keeps hammering out changes and the writer falls into a horrible limbo of development. These guys had the clarity and grace to skip that part. So I'm a free man."
That's too bad... but that doesn't mean the project has been cancelled, a different take on the story is being written, I'll keep posted on further developments.

David S. Goyer turns his back on The Flash?:
Blade Trinity director David S. Goyer must have had a talk with Joss Whedon, cause he's also leaving his superhero project The Flash. Here's what he'd posted on his blog;
"Well, I've been waiting a few months to relate this news -- but I am sad to say that my version of The Flash is dead at WB. The God's honest truth is that WB and myself simply couldn't agree on what would make for a cool Flash film. I'm quite proud of the screenplay I turned in. I threw my heart into it and I genuinely think it would've been the basis of a ground-breaking film. But as of now, the studio is heading off in a completely different direction. I expect you'll hear of some new developments on that front shortly."
Update: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Shawn Levy will direct The Flash. The director previously directed the comedies Cheaper by the Dozen, The Pink Panther and Night at the Museum. So, guys, looks like The Flash is going to be a fun family flick...
