Paul Greengrass, responsible for The Bourne Supremacy, is back on the director's chair for the third chapter of the series, entitled The Bourne Ultimatum. Matt Damon pulls his gun for one more time, with the help of Joan Allen as Pamela Landy and Julia Stiles as Nicky Parsons. The powerful baddies are David Strathairn as CIA deputy director Noah Vosen and Scott Glenn as CIA director Ezra Kramer, who rather see Bourne wearing a body bag.
In the second sequel, Jason Bourne dives deeper into his past to find out how he became the governments' killing-machine. Traces lead to a top secret program called 'Blackbriar'. The project's inventors need to find Jason and eliminate him before they become his target, but Bourne's goal is set, nothing will stop him to find his true identity.
The Bourne Ultimatum is a direct follow-up to the previous flms. You need to see them first, before checking this one out. The flick picks up speed from the get go and pushes the pace to the limit, driven by the powerful non-stop score of the amazing John Powell. The cinematography; roughly shot, sucking you into the action, trying hard to keep up with our man, Jason Bourne. An espionage cat-and-mouse game, extreme and yet very realistic. Bone-crunching fights with one objective, kill or be killed. Nerve wrecking chases on scooters, in cars, by foot and on Moroccan rooftops. And a dangerous corrupt government entity with hitmen all around the world.
In short, a brutal espionage thriller, just like the previous two movies, starring a very driven Matt Damon as the deadly Jason Bourne. The Bourne Ultimatum is an intense experience that delivers a nice adrenaline rush.
