Movie: Hitman
Director: Xavier Gens
Actors: Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott, Olga Kurylenko, Robert Knepper, Ulrich Thomsen

Hitman is another attempt to turn a popular video game into a movie. Xavier Gens makes his first big budget action vehicle with the Hitman adaptation. Timothy Olyphant portrays the mysterious bald killer named Agent 47 and Dougray Scott is the interpol agent Mike Whittier. Agent 47 is being dragged into a political conspiracy. The tables are turned when the hunter becomes the target. Agent 47 finds an ally in the beautiful Nika (Olga Kurylenko), together they look for to the ones responsible for putting the mark on the rogue agent.

Hitman makes the same mistake as the other video game adaptations. The story and characters are too shallow so you simply don't give a crap about the hero's struggle to survive. Timothy Olyphant, who played the bad guy in Live Free or Die Hard, is a fine actor but his looks and charisma went out the window when they shaved his hair off. Of course, these type of movies revolve around the action. Unfortunately, even on this level, Hitman fails to bring the goods. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of action sequences, they just were shot pretty horrible. Director Xavier Gens did his homework, he studied The Bourne flicks and the famous John Woo style but it all results in a crappy rip-off. Hitman doesn't hit his mark, guys.

Hitman misses his target!
